Cate grew up in Benton, KY where she danced competitively for 12 years. She continued dancing through college and graduated from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) in 2018 with a B.A. in dance and a minor in exercise science. While in college, she auditioned and performed in the ARDT company repertoire, as well as students’ works in the undergraduate showcase “Dance Alabama.” Since graduating, Cate has taught and choreographed various styles of dance to different ages for over three years. Cate also became a 250 hour yoga alliance instructor, where she trained partially in England under Birmingham Royal Ballet’s former principal ballerina, Ambra Vallo, and the Dutches of Sandwiches, Julie Montague. Currently residing in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Cate teaches dance at a nearby studio and yoga at the Biltmore Estate. Here she continues to follow her passion of movement and wellness by means of hiking, dancing, yoga, and gardening.
