Jocelyn Ramirez is a dancer/choreographer from Fort Bragg, NC. Jocelyn trained at The Southern Strutt for 11 years where she trained with choreographers known as Justin Giles, Caroline Lewis-Jones, Dee Caspary, Ray Leeper, Brooke Pierotti, Sonya Tayeh and more. She has won numerous scholarships during her competition years as a jazz company member with Strutt at conventions such as Jump, LA Dance Magic, West Coast Dance Explosion, NUVO, SoulEscape, and Shock the Intensive. Another one of Jocelyn's many blessings was winning 1st runner-up out of 300 dancers for LA Dance Magic Convention's title "Dancer of the Year" in 2007. At the age of 18, Jocelyn had the opportunity to assist staff of Shock Intensive with Caroline Lewis-Jones,Tina Caspary, and Melody Lacayanga. She was also an assistant for Brooke Pierotti at Beyond Dance Intensive. Jocelyn has made appearances on television shows "So You Think You Can Dance" and Loriann Gibson's Project “Born to Dance”. Today, she dances professionally and choreographs for Unbound Dance Company, founded by Caroline Lewis-Jones. Jocelyn also sets choreography for studios/schools in the Columbia, Lexington, and Northeast areas of SC. She just choreographed for the Charlotte Hornets Honey Bees dance team in 2023-2024. Jocelyn currently lives in Hopkins, SC and married with two children. Although she has many achievements, Jocelyn always strives to be an inspiration to her two children along with young dancers, teaching them to be confident in who they are in the dance industry and in life.
