MEGAN SAYLORS

Megan Saylors found her love for all things dance at Emerald City Dance Explosion from 2003-2007 where she returned to teach in 2021. She graduated from Columbia College in Columbia, SC with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography in 2011. Also in 2011, Megan received her Pilates Mat Instructor Certification with PHI Pilates and has continued to teach since. After moving to Chicago in 2012, Megan performed from 2013-2016 with Innervation Dance Cooperative as well as many other independent dance and film projects throughout the city. While performing, she continued her training as an apprentice and performer with Joel Hall and Dancers from 2012-2019 as well as learning from a variety of teachers at Lou Conte, Giordano, Visceral and Kaleidoscope studios. Megan also performed and worked as a fire safety with Cirque de la Femme, an eclectic circus performance group, during 2013-2015 in Chicagoland. Megan recently completed her Master of Arts in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling at Columbia College Chicago in Spring of 2022. Since returning to SC in 2021, Megan has performed with Columbia Repertory Dance Company for three seasons and actively performs in a variety of settings with Moving Bodies Dance Company. Right now, Megan is especially passionate about creating unique movement experiences by integrating dance performance and therapeutic movement. Megan is excited to combine her love of movement and passion for human connection through the captivating, powerful work of dance/movement therapy, teaching and performance. Movement is MAGIC!
